Centre for Excellence in collaboration with Beldih Book Club is organising a Book Reading session and Interaction with Air Commodore Nitin Sathe on February 06, 2020 at Centre for Excellence at 7:00 pm.

About the Author

Air Commodore Nitin Sathe has over 30 years of distinguished service as a helicopter pilot in the Indian Air Force. His first book A Few Good Men and the Angry Sea (2014) is based on his experiences in the Car Nicobar Islands after they were ravaged by the tsunami of 2004. His recent book, Born to Fly (2016), is a biography of his batch mate Flying Officer MP Anil Kumar, a MiG-21 pilot who became a quadriplegic due to an accident at the age of 24. His most recent book, Up in the Sky: Helicopter Stories (2019), is a collection of short stories on his experiences on helicopter operations in the IAF and those of his colleagues.
Air Commodore Nitin Sathe is presently posted as the Senior Instructor at the Defence Services Staff College at Wellington (Nilgiris), Tamil Nadu, a premier training establishment of the Defence Services.
