Centre for Excellence organises Heritage Walk with the aim to impart knowledge on the lesser known facts of the city’s heritage. The walk is organised for different stakeholders which include, English and Hindi medium schools, social organisations, senior citizens and senior leadership of Tata Steel, etc.
The walk covers the historical locations of the northern areas of Jamshedpur: Director’s Bungalow, United Club, P N Bose Memorial, Barucha Mansion, St. George’s Church, etc.
Eminent citizens like Mr Dickey Mody (ex-Tata Steel employee), Mr Ronald D’Costa (hotelier and social worker), Ms Lalita Sareen (educationist) and Mr A M Misra (former VP, Tata Steel)are invited to speak about the historical significance of these places.
The inaugural walk was held on October 2, 2016. We have organized seven walks till March 2019.
