To interact and engage with the student community of Jamshedpur on Water Conservation, Centre for Excellence (CFE) organises an awareness session on the subject through e-platform. More than a thousand students, along with their teachers and principals, have been a part of the session. The event is conducted in collaboration with the Water Management Department of Tata Steel.
During the session, the students are sensitized on the importance of water, its global scenario, tips on conserving water, the significance of Dimna Lake, and its connection with the city. Some useful tips on water conservation are also communicated to the students through a video clip. Towards the end of the presentation, an open quiz is conducted.
Some of the participating schools were: St. Mary’s English High School, Mount Litera Zee School, Gulmohur High School, Little Flower School, Sacred Heart Convent, 5 branches of Kerala Public school (Burmamines, Mango, NML, Gamharia & Kadma) and ADLS Sunshine School.
